BBC Newsline Remembrance Day Commemorations. On a 2nd visit Reporter Mervyn Jess focussed on the WW1 St John Ambulance Brigade Hospital at Etaples, France and input from the island of Ireland. This evening (09 Nov.) on BBC Newsline an interview with Isabel was broadcast and the video posted on the BBC Facebook page. As photographs were shown Isabel spoke briefly about the Hospital, fund raising in Ireland, the Medical Officers from Belfast and Nursing staff, VADs and Ward Orderlies from Ireland. This being the centenary year of the voluntary Hospital opening (Sept. 1915) it was a very appropriate time for the work carried out and input from Ireland to be highlighted. My thanks to BBC, Mervyn Jess, cameraman Tony and all concerned with the broadcast.
